Russian mail order brides pump out money

Recently an American addressed the police of Lugansk, a Ukrainian city, pleading to find the swindlers who cheated him into paying about 10 thousand US dollars. Several months before he saw the angelic face of a local beauty on an Internet marriage site. The heart of the American melted, he wrote an enthusiastic email and received an equally enthusiastic answer. The pen pal relationship was very rapid and passionate, things were moving towards a wedding - and suddenly the girl fell silent.

After 10 days of constant letter bombardment from the American side he finally got a reply, in which the young Ukrainian mail order bride said she was sorry for her silence and complained about a lack of money that happened because her mother was seriously ill. According to her, all the savings were spent on the medical treatment and her Internet provider closed her connection because of the debts. The girl did not ask form money, but the fiancé showed initiative: money orders flowed to Lugansk. When a neat sum was accumulated, the connection broke again.

The schoolgirl had no intention of getting married to the 40-year-old American. This scenario is very common in Ukraine these days: in fact, we can talk about an existing business. According to Ukrainian providers, every city with a population of more than 50 thousand people has several dozens of women 19-45 years of age that make their living with so-called marriage hacking. The flourishing of Internet marriage fraud in the Ukraine looks fairly logical: its geographic location contributed to the fact that the country boasts of both oil and gas transit pipelines and Internet transit lines. It is not harder to go online from Kharkov than it is from Moscow, and with Odessa it is even easier - there is a Eurasian fiber-optic cable passing through it. Another reason is the Western demand for Slavic women.

The beginning cheaters look for an Internet connection at their workplace, through their friends or through marriage agencies. After scanning a photo of the "bride" with her email address is placed on an international relationships engine. If the photo is good, there are responses from the prospective fiancés, which show the most generous ones. This is not very hard - most men do not hesitate to tell about their income level.

Luda is from Simferopol'. She has short blond hair and she is a single mother. Her 5-year-old son is playing games on the computer that she managed to win over from her ex-husband after divorce. "I haven't gone out today, I do not want to miss a call", - the woman says. "I wake up at eleven am, receive the emails. Then comes the morning exercise, then the breakfast. Then the calls from Europe. I take a walk, I process the mail, I write the answers. From 5 to 12 pm there are calls from the USA and Canada - the time difference is 8 hours. I only go to bed at around 2 am".

Here is the success formula devised by Luda. Once a month you have to "refresh your face" on the popular marriage servers like "One and Only", "American Singles" and so on. That is, you have to change your old photo for a new one - taken in a different season, from a different perspective, with a different light, another hairstyle. In one or two weeks the letters begin flowing. After each new photo the woman gets from 20 to 30 letters. As a reply, every man gets a preset letter template with the woman's details - age, weight, height, habits. After this template, there are 10-15 candidates left. They get yet another template - a detailed self-portrait with some romantic hints. The approach is more individual-oriented: according to the candidate's interests the unnecessary information is removed. 5 to 10 people do not want to continue, and the rest are Luda's clients.

After careful correspondence there are 2-3 people who want to support Luda financially. After that, everything goes according to the same pattern. An average sum that Luda gets from a generous fiancé is 300-1500 US dollars. The professional mail order brides have studied well the cautious heart of a Western man. They know that it is a bad idea to send photos with cigarettes (smoking is being fought against in the West). They should not hug their dogs because they could be considered to be engaging in zoophilia. They should not have their pictures taken on a horse because under the influence of Freud many people have a stereotype that the women who like horse-riding are prone to becoming lesbian. And so on and so forth.

The attitude to marriage among those hacker women is quite pragmatic: they want to get married when they are around 35, but at that time many of them are already proud owners of bars, shops and boutiques and become business-ladies. They are no more satisfied with the role of a grateful housewife of an ageing foreigner.
