Foreign Affairs: Will Your Love Survive?

There are many single Russian women who want to experience foreign affairs and move to the West. This is why they choose any applicants who seem to be more or less suitable.

However, when the goal is reached, she acquires a new outlook and a different perspective of herself and of those who surround her. Sometimes just a pretty face by Russian standards (there are millions of pretty girls in Russia), she is considered to be almost a beauty when leaving in foreign affairs for America or Europe, where "Slavic charm" is much appreciated. The French are impressed with her intelligence and knowledge...

She begins to value herself more and to see her husband in a more critical light. When she had no choice, he seemed to be everything for her. And now she feels like she could have found someone better. Young, interesting and financially secure men are flirting with her. She is full of doubts: she could have had a better match.

In this case, there are two options. The resolute and purposeful lady would wait for the citizenship of the country (in many European countries, you wait for several years and then you get one), learn the language and find a good job, and then leave her husband. She would become free to live her life according to the changed circumstances.

However, the woman who is less self-assured would put up with her fate, thinking that the only choice is to let well alone. This is especially true if there is a child that invariably connects her to her husband. She would find consolation in being a good mother, trying to convince herself that it is her real vocation.
